The Indian Railways Department has announced the launch of a new app, RailOne, which will provide a one-stop solution for all passenger services. This announcement was made by Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw during the launch of the app on the 40th Foundation Day of the Center for Railways Information Systems (CRIS) on July 1, 2025 (Tuesday).
It is to be noted that CRIS is a technological wing of Indian Railways - which created the RailOne app, along with the other applications that are developed for the betterment of the Railway services.
Reportedly, the IRCTC Rail Connect is used to book tickets, IRCTC eCatering is used to order Food Ordering and Raul Madad is used to submit feedback, and UTS and NTES are used to unreserve and know the train status, respectively. From now on, all this information will be available on one application, i.e., RailOne, which means all the above-mentioned applications could be uninstalled.
It is worth mentioning that the login credentials for any of the above-mentioned applications could be used to log in to the RailOne application, or an individual could log in as a Guest on the RailOne app, which means without making an account. However, it is to be noted that the services could not be available to the Guest User.
The application services have been available in two languages - English and Hindi.
Features of RailOne App
This app is primarily aimed at providing an improved user experience due to the minimalistic and non-cluttered interface.
It brings all the train-based services under one umbrella.
It can freely be downloaded on the Google Play store or the IO App Store.
The single sign-on feature excludes multiple password memorizing.
The app supports R-Wallet and easy access to accounts using numeric mPIN and biometrics logins.
New users have an option either to create an account or use Guest Login by entering a phone number.

What is the purpose of the RailOne app?
In the past, passengers were forced to install different applications to take multiple services like UTS ticket service to cancel unreserved tickets, Rail Connect app to do ticketing in a reserved ticket, Rail Madad app to redress grievances, NTES app to see the running status of train, an IRCTC app to book food, etc.
According to officials, the rate of discount on unreserved and platform tickets will be at 3 percent on the app. The user may use his/her current user credentials of RailConnect or UTSonMobile App in order to register RailOne. Using this, several applications for various services of IR will not need to be carried out by the users.
The current app will still be around. Those apps are not dropped. However, as these apps have been integrated into RailOne, it would be good to utilize it as it does not require more space of devices and the pains of remembering multiple passwords,” said a senior official of the Ministry of Railways.
There is also the availability of an R-Wallet (Railway e-wallet) to book tickets in the app. It has offered the option of logging in using the numeric mPIN as well as biometrics. It is possible to log in as a Guest using a mobile number/OTP with the purpose of an inquiry.
