Bollywood King Khan turns a year older today. Shah Rukh Khan on Tuesday,  November 2 celebrates his 56th birthday. The star has completed 29 years in Bollywood and 33 years in the entertainment industry. One of the most famed actors in Bollywood and enjoys a fan base like no other celebrity has ever had. He has a tremendous craze amongst his female fans who still go mad for his one look. The actor’s charisma, persona, attitude, style and of course it's his style of dialogue delivery that makes him separate from other Bollywood stars. 
 
Shah Rukh Khan is known by many other pen names such as SRK, Badshah of Bollywood, King Khan, King of Bollywood. He started as an anti-hero in Bazigar, however, he is most loved as a romantic hero by many fans. 
 
The actor made his Bollywood debut in the commercially successful Deewana (1992) alongside top Bollywood actress Divya Bhati. His career grew through his choosing to play villains in such films as Daar (1993), and Anjaam (1994). He since then had continued delivering some of the most iconic films. So, on his birthday, let’s revisit some of SRK’s iconic dialogues. 


BAZZIGAR 




SRK in this 1993 action-thriller film, played an anti-hero. The film was a huge commercial hit and the fourth highest-grossing Indian film of the year. 
“Kabhi kabhi jeetne ke liye kuch haarna padta hai. Aur haar ke jeetne waale ko Baazigar kehte hai,” this dialgue and SRK’s acting had won many hearts. 
 
“Udne ki baat parinde karte hai ... tutte huye par nahi”

“Kitaabein mehbooba se behtar hoti hai ... atleast intezaar toh nahi karwarti”

“Daud zindagi ka ho yah motor car ka ... maine kabhi haarna nahi seekha”

DILWALE DULHANIYA LE JAYENGE 



This 1995 film has been the longest ever running Bollywood film and is considered amongst his best movies. It was Dilwale Dulhaniya Lejayenge who made him the romantic hero of the Hindi film industry. The actor had delivered some heartwarming dialogues in the flick. Two evergreen dialogues are:-

“Agar yeh tujhe pyaar karti hai to ye palat ke dekhegi. Palat - palat!”

"Bade Bade deshon mein aaisi choti choti baatein hoti rehti hain... Senorita!!"

“Toh kya hua agar maine jhooth sirf tumhe paane ke liye kaha tha? Toh kya hua agar tumhare chehre ke siva mujhe koi aur chehra dikhayi nahi deta? Toh kya hua agar tumhare naam ke siva mujhe koi aur naam yaad nahi rehta? Toh kya hua agar yeh awara tumhe deewano ki tarah pyar karta hai? Toh kya hua? Pyaar sab kuch toh nahi hota na…”

KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI




Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was released in 1998, starring SRK, Kajol. This romantic comedy has since ruled hearts and his also his dialogues: 

“Hum ek baar jeete hai, ek baar marte hai, shaadi bhi ek baar hoti hai aur pyaar bhi ek baar hota hai.”

“Pyaar dosti hai. Agar woh meri sabse achi dost nahi ban sakti toh main usse kabhi pyaar kar hi nahi sakta. Kyunki dosti bina toh pyaar hota hi nahi.”
 

MOHABBATEIN



Mohabbatein was released in 2000. Although Amitabh Bachchan made an impact with his acting meteor, Shah Rukh Khan stole the limelight with the sweet way of dialogue delivery. 


“Main aaj bhi usse utni hi mohabbat karta hoon aur isliye nahi ki koi aur nahi mili par isliye ki usse mohabbat karne se fursat hi nahi milti.”

KABHI KHUSHI KABHIE GHAM


 


Someone who is a SRK fan must have watched this film multiple times. Many still go back and re-watch the film to hear SRK’s say: “Zindagi mein kuch banna ho, kuch haasil karna ho, kuch jeetna ho toh hamesha apne dil ki suno. Aur agar dil se bhi koi jawaab na aye, to apni aankhen band karke apni maa aur baba ka naam lo. Phir dekhna, har manzil paar kar jaoge, har mushkil asan ho jaegi. Jeet tumhari hogi. Sirf tumhari”




DEVDAS



This epic romantic drama was released in 2002 and when it comes to iconic dialogues, Devdas is filled with many such dialogues and some of the best performances. However, the all-time favourite remains: “Babuji ne kaha gaon chhod do, sab ne kaha Paro ko chhod do, Paro ne kaha sharab chhod do, aaj tumne keh diya haweli chhod do, ek din aayega jab woh kahenge, duniya hi chhod do.”


Another one, “Kaun kambakht bardaasht karne ko peeta hai, hum toh peete hai ki yahan par baith sake, tumhe dekh sake, tumhe bardaasht kar sake.”

“Pyar ka karobaar toh bahut baar kiya hai, magar pyar sirf ek baar.”
 
VEER-ZAARA




Well, this is one romantic film that not only has some of the most romantic songs as well as heart touching dialogues. And SRK’s acting had left everyone teary-eyed. The film was released in 2004, The most heart-warming SRK's dialogue from the film is, “Sachi mohabbat zindagi main sirf ek baar hoti hai aur jab hoti hai, toh koi bhagwan ya khuda usse nakamayab nahi hone deta.”

“Woh kehte hai mera desh uska nahi, phir kyun mere ghar woh rehti hai … woh kehte hai main us jaisa nahi, phir kyun mujh jaisi woh lagti hai.”

“Mere desh ki har maa … aap jaisi zaroor hai…”
 
“Lekin kabhi bhi, kahin bhi ek dost ki zarurat padhe toh yaad rakhiega… ki sarhad paar ek aisa shaks hai jo aapke liye aapki jaan bhi de dega!


OM SHANTI OM 




Om Shanti Om remains the favourite of all the 90s kids. The film hit the theatres in 2007 and was a massive hit at the box office. Dialogues that are still popular from the films are:

“Itni shiddat se maine tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai, ki har zarre ne mujhe tumse milane ki koshish ki hai. Kehte hain agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaaho to puri kayanat usey tumse milane ki koshish main lag jaati hai.”

“Agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaaho to puri kayanat usey tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai.”
