UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has been embroiled in a fresh controversy and facing criticism on social media after pranksters leaked his mobile number. Rishi Sunak's mobile number leaked was confirmed by a UK media portal stating that pranksters called on the UK PM's number and it went straight to his voice mail.  As per reports, Rishi Sunak leaked number is his long-time number. Leaked Rishi Sunak's phone number came to the fore when pranksters took to social media and published audio of the phone ringing and the Prime Minister’s answerphone message response.

Reportedly, Rishi Sunak's leaked calling number has brought a fresh controversy and may result him in getting legal trouble. UK PM leaked number controversy came two-and-half years after former Prime Minister Boris Johnson was forced to change his mobile number while in office after a similar online scare.

As per UK media reports, the leaked mobile number was used by Rishi Sunak for many years - including while Chancellor and during last year's leadership election. IT is worth mentioning that Sunak was given other number when he came to power a year ago. However, Rishi Sunak leaked number video suggests that his number is still in operation.

This has flagged a major controversy on social media as last month Rishi Sunak said that he was unable to hand over some WhatsApp messages to the COVID inquiry sent to and from this number - because he had not backed them up after changing phones several times.

As a result, Britishers recently took to their X handle, formerly known as Twitter, and slammed for UK Prime Minister and accused him of lying.

A user wrote, "Rishi don’t lose that number…Rishi Sunak’s allegedly defunct mobile phone upon which his supposedly unobtainable Covid WhatsApp messages are contained within reportedly switched on and working just peachy in another moment of abject cringe and bullshit from the almost ex-PM."

Another user wrote, "So... Fishy Rishi is a liar? Wow, nobody saw that coming."

One more user wrote, "The phone needs to be seized as a matter of urgency and secured for the @covidinquiryuk  Baroness Hallett needs to show her teeth and have the phone quarantined.  Then all these missing WhatsApps need to be gleaned and @RishiSunak held in contempt of court."

"Most people keep their number when they change their phone. However the process used usually means other data is retained as well, eg WhatsApp messages," wrote another user.
