On 16th December, Monday, a school bus ran over a second-grade child at BCM school in Ludhiana, Punjab. The child was seriously injured after being hit by the bus and was taken to a private hospital. The child died in the hospital. After this incident, the police of Thana Division 7 reached the spot and investigated the footage of the CCTV camera installed in the school.
In this case, in-charge of police station division 7 Bhupendra Singh said that this incident happened on Monday morning around 8:30 am. He said that in the preliminary investigation it has come to light that the deceased child was walking towards the class when a bus hit her. The bus which crushed the child also had school children in it. At present, the body of the deceased child has been taken into custody and the school bus has been sent to the school.
Currently, the police have registered a case against the school bus driver after taking the body of the deceased child in its possession. The family members who came to drop their children to school said that they saw that an injured girl was being taken to the hospital.
There were traces of bus tire marks on her face. According to people, the girl died on the spot. She was quickly taken to Fortis Hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. The deceased child is identified as Amyra. She was the only daughter of her parents. She was a second-grade student.
The girl's relative Shanti informed that Amyra's father Anurag is a principal in the R&D school. Now the school administration has closed the gate of the school. The family members of the deceased are upset with the school administration.
SHO Bhupinder Singh of police station division number 7 reached the spot. He said that the matter is being investigated thoroughly.
