District School Education Reform Teams have been created by the government of Punjab to monitor and supervise the activities of schools and regulate the daily functioning of the schools.
According to a press statement from the Information and Public Relations Department, Punjab, a spokesperson of the school education department said that the concerned District Education Officer (Sec. Edu.) would be the head of the District Education Reform Team.
The spokesperson further added that these Reform teams will help and aid in the successful completion and progress of continuing schemes like Punjab Achievement Survey, Smart School Project, English Booster Club, Welcome Life, Buddy Group, Mission Shat-Pratishat and enrolment drive in the state.

The reform teams will be responsible to coordinate with the respective DM/BM of their district and support them in improving and bring quality change in education by formulating and implementing its plan in line with the activities of ''Parho Punjab, Paraho Punjab''.
These teams will also work toward motivating school principals, teachers and others in modifying their schools into smart schools. Smart schools have been a priority of the Punjab Government. Likewise, guiding the school heads to follow the instructions issued by the government regarding Covid-19.
