Chief of the banned outfit, Sikh For Justice (SFJ), Gurpatwant Singh Pannun is back again with his hollow threats. Gurpatwant Singh Pannun recently issued new threats by releasing his video stating that he will take revenge against the plot of New Delhi to kill him in the USA. To do so, Pannun stated that he would carry out attacks on the Indian Parliament on or before December 13, 2023.  Notably, December 13 will mark the 22nd anniversary of Parliament attack by terrorists in 2001.

In the video, terrorist Pannun says, "Modi government has tried to kill me for organizing Khalistan referendum and I am going to respond. My response on 13th December will be in contrast to Afzal Guru's 2001 resistance against extra-judicial killings of the Kashmiris. But still, my response is going to shake the very foundation of the Indian Parliament. Modi and India are you ready to face my response which is going to shake the foundation of the Indian Parliament?"

After Pannun's threat, reports suggest that security agencies are on high alert. Reportedly, security agencies said that the K-2 (Kashmir-Khalistan) desk of Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI had given directions to Pannun to further their agenda of propagating the anti-India narrative.

India-US on Gurpatwant Singh Pannun

Recently, the US has said that it is looking forward to seeing the results of India's investigation into the plot to kill a Sikh separatist leader, and will not make any assessments before the probe is finished.

"We have noted at the most senior levels of this government -- the Secretary of State has raised this directly with his foreign counterpart that we take this issue very seriously. They told us they would conduct an investigation," US State Department spokesperson, Matthew Miller, said in his news briefing on Tuesday.

"They have publicly announced an investigation. And now we’ll wait to see the results of the investigation, but it’s something we take very seriously," Miller said in response to a question on developments in the case at the diplomatic level.

He further said that it would be "inappropriate" for him to comment on a "law enforcement matter" as the Department of Justice is presenting the case in court.
