As the health system of India caves in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s election campaigning is unstoppable. The second wave of covid 19 has struck the Indian health system and Indian economy more than ever. Netizens are once again criticizing Narendra Modi and his government over the present condition of the country. #ModiMadeDisaster is trending on social media, highlighting the rising cases and shortage of medical facilities.

The country is recording more than 2 lakh cases and more than 1000 fatalities every day. Many patients are treated inside ambulances as there is a shortage of beds in hospitals. Covid patients are dying due to a lack of oxygen supply. Dead bodies of deceased Covid patients are piling up in the hospital premises.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of the Nation is busy campaigning for Bengal Elections. Citizens are exasperated as it is observed that government cares about power more than people.  While addressing the rallies in West Bengal, Modi avoided wearing masks. He said, “I’ve never seen such a huge crowd.” “India had defeated Covid last year and India can do it again,” he further added.

Ironically, states are suffering due to a shortage of beds and oxygen. Innumerable cases are recorded where patients died due to lack of oxygen supply. Many patients died without any treatment as hospitals have no capacity to accommodate them.

CMs of states and opposition are also lashing out at Modi. Maharashtra Chief Minster Uddhav Thackrey said that he tried calling PM regarding the shortage of oxygen and the Remdesivir drug, but was told that he is too busy addressing rallies.

Recently, taking a jibe at the Modi government, opposition leader Rahul Gandhi also mocked Modi for his strategy in the fight against Coronavirus. He also said that the cemetery and burial halls are full and all this is ‘Modi Made Disaster’.
