Film-maker Karan Johar on Friday released Showtime Season 1 Part 2's teaser and also announced the release date of full episodes. Showtime Season 1 Part 1 was released on Disney Plus Hotstar on March 8, 2024. Created under the banner of Dharmatic Production, Showtime is a fictional story but has real references from the Bollywood fraternity like nepotism & favoritism. Showtime Season 1 Part 1 was a four-part web series that featured Emraan Hashmi, Mahima Makwana, Mouni Roy, Rajeev Khandelwal, Shriya Saran, Vijay Raaz, Naseeruddin Shah, Lilette Dubey, Vishal Vashishtha, Neeraj Madhav, Gurpreet Saini, Denzil Smith and more in the leading roles. Notably, Showtime Season 1 Part 1 received flak after the makers decided to air only 4 episodes and not the entire season.
However, to drive their anger, the makers have finally announced the Showtime Season 1 Full Episodes release date. Showtime Season 1 Part 2 or Showtime Full Season 1 Episode will be available for streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar from July 12, 2024.

Is Showtime a true story?
The answer is yes and no at the same time. Showtime is an original story written by Sumit Roy, Lara Chandni, Mithun Gangopadhyay, however, its concept of nepotism in Bollywood is inspired by true stories. Hotstar Specials Showtime is a drama that showcases the nepotism politics that prevail in Bollywood and the epic saga of legacy and ambition in the world of cinema especially in the Hindi film industry.
Showtime Season 1 showcased Mahima Makwana, as Makhika Nandi in the lead role. She comes at loggerheads with Emraan Hashmi who plays Raghu Khanna. Raghu Khanna is a film-maker and the son of Victor Khanna, a retired & successful film-maker. Victor Khanna dies by suicide. Before his death, Victor names Makhika as his heir to film-empire i.e his production house. This start a war between Emraan and Mahima.
