Akal Takht, Operation Blue star, 1984, 38th, Jathedar Harpreet Singh, Dal Khalsa, Khalistan slogans, Ghallugharas, Sarbat Khalsa, modern weapons- True Scoop
On the 38th anniversary of Operation Blue Star, Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Giani Harpreet Singh has given a message to the Sikhs to learn using of modern weapons besides the traditional martial art 'Gatka.' Giani Harpreet Singh said that Dhan Guru Angad Dev Ji Maharaj had prepared Gatka Akharas at Mala Sahib. There was no harm in saying that now Sikhs should also be prepared for shooting ranges. This was the need of the hour.

A program was organized at the Golden Temple in Amritsar to mark the 38th anniversary of Operation Blue Star today. During this program, slogans of Khalistan Zindabad were raised. Along with the pilgrims, Khalistan supporters also arrived. The families of those, who were killed in the Operation were also present. Thousands of people come to pay their tributes at the Darbar Sahib on this day every year.

There is also speculation about the arrival of Sarbat Khalsa's Jathedar Dhyan Singh Mand in the program. In the last few years it has been seen that after Giani Harpreet Singh's message, Dhyan Singh Mand also tries to deliver his message from Akal Takht. Usually, there is a clash between the SGPC and Sarbat Khalsa supporters.

Police and security forces have been deployed on all roads leading to and from the Golden Temple. SGPC has also deployed its task force inside the campus. Police have made security arrangements inside and outside the Golden Temple to ensure that no untoward incidents as in the past could happen.

On Sunday, in memory of Ghallughara, a freedom march was taken out by Dal Khalsa. The youth also reiterated the demand for the release of the bandhi Sikhs. While addressing the leaders of various organizations Kanwarpal Singh Bittu, Harpal Singh Cheema, Paramjit Singh Mand, Paramjit Singh Tanda, etc. said that Operation Blue Star was an event not to be forgotten by the Sikhs.
