Famous Sufi Singer, Jyoti Nooran has accused her husband, Kunal Paasi, of harassing her and blackmailing her by threatening to release intimate videos and pictures. Kunal had previously alleged that the singer had sanctioned an attack against him by paying multiple attackers. Both Jyoti and Kunal have registered a complaint with the police regarding the issue. Now, Jyoti Nooran has issued her own statement regarding the incident.
Releasing the video, Jyoti Nooran said that Kunal had been harassing her for a long time. He had been blackmailing her by calling her late at night and threatened to make an intimate video of Nooran public. She also alleged that Kunal had sending threatening messages to Nooran through Whatsapp.
Nooran’s current husband, Avinash Kumar said that Kunal used to call through social media and said that he has “proof” which he will send to the media. During this, he called Jyoti out to near the Vidhipur flyover in Jalandhar late at night. Avinash Kumar said that Jyoti did not tell him that Kunal had called or that she was going to Vidhipur flyover to meet him.
It is being alleged that Jyoti Nooran reached Vidhipur flyover to meet Kunal, where 4 unknown persons were present with him in another car. The individual started misbehaving with the Sufi singer during this, Jyoti called him. Avinash Kumar said that 2 of his friends were present nearby whom he asked the spot and protect Jyoti. However, Kunal fled the scene when his friends arrived.
Kunal then hit a truck during the high-speed chase that ensued, bursting one of his vehicle’s tires. Avinash said that he drove the car on the burst tyre and reached near Pathankot bypass, where Kunal and his friends had an altercation. Avinash alleges that Kunal attacked his friends with sharp weapons, after which he took Kunal to Police Station (Thana) division 1.
Avinash said that Kunal was supposed to be taken to Rama Mandi police station but they did not know that at the time and instead took him to Police station (Thana) division 1. Thana 1 police informed Rama Mandi police about the issue. It is alleged that a complaint was also lodged against Kunal about 5 months ago, which said that he tried to block Nakodar Chowk, but Kunal did not reach there either. Jyoti has formally lodged a complaint against Kunal in the police station.
Kunal Paasi’s allegations:
Kunal Paasi told in his complaint that Jyoti Nooran had called him to Vidhipur flyover where she was allegedly waiting for him. Kunal alleges that he went to Vidhipur flyover late at night in a Fortuner car where another car number (PB 09 AG 7129) was parked along with Jyoti Nooran's Fortuner car (PB 08 8008). Kunal alleges that during this time an i-20 car, in which the people, claiming themselves to be police staff arrived. The people then took out pistols and sharp weapons and attacked him after which he fled from there. Kunal alleges that the attackers followed him and attacked him again after some distance. During this incident, Davinder Singh PCR team was on patrol. They saw the commotion there and reached the spot, but during that time the attackers fled.
