Ravindra Jadeja batted at number 7 and helped Virat Kohli get the team to 129 runs. As the teams departed the field, the left-hander smashed a crucial 33* off 25 balls, including eight runs in the final two balls, to give India a psychological edge over England.

Jadeja took two key wickets and also performed admirably in the field, earning him the Man of the Match award for his all-round performance. The figures weren't very outstanding, but the bat's influence in a final proved to be crucial for India.

He also finished the competition as the highest wicket-taker, collecting 12 wickets at an average of 12.83 in five matches.

2014 vs England (Lord’s Test)

As a Test all-rounder, Jadeja's turning point occurred against England in 2014, when he scored his first Test fifty.

India needed a final effort at 202-5, and in came Jadeja. His 68-ball 68 shifted the match in India's favour, and Ishant Sharma's 7-for gave India a remarkable victory at Lord's.

Jadeja commemorated his fifty with a special blade-brandishing practise, swooshing the bat like a sword, in keeping with Rajputana tradition.

India vs NZ , ICC WC semifinal 2019

India lost the match, but the semifinal of the 2019 World Cup versus New Zealand will be remembered for a long period. Jadeja bowled first and had the best stats in the squad, 1/34 in 10 overs, as well as a critical run-out of Ross Taylor.

The innings of Jadeja proceeded. At 92/6, India was in serious trouble. Jadeja entered the fray and started a counter-offensive against the Kiwi bowlers. He formed an alliance with MS Dhoni and scored a fast 59-ball 77.

The left-hander nodded towards the commentary box to Sanjay Manjrekar, who had been critical of Jadeja's spot in the eleven with his 'bits and pieces' joke, after completing his half-century and sword celebration. India, on the other hand, lost the game.
