The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is fielding Mohinder Bhagat, the son of former BJP cabinet minister Chunni Lal Bhagat from Jalandhar, Punjab, for the West Assembly by-election. In a video posted on Friday, Chunni Lal Bhagat asked for support for his son Mohinder Bhagat. The people of the West Assembly constituency were pushed by Chunni Lal Bhagat to vote for his son Mohinder Bhagat in order to make him the winner, in order to help the community just as he did.
In a video published on Friday, former BJP minister Chunni Lal Bhagat stated, "I have been an MLA from the West Assembly constituency and people gave me a chance to serve. My age prevents me from running in the elections. My son Mohinder Bhagat is running in the election because of this”. Chunni Lal declared, "It would be good if such a person served this assembly constituency. Vote for Mohinder on July 10 and help him win so that he can represent the assembly constituency”, urged Chunni Lal Bhagat.
