The grand and highly-anticipated Super Bowl 2023 stands just two weeks away. With all that adrenaline rush this year’s mega event will see American Football Conference (AFC) champion Kansas City Chiefs and the National Football Conference (NFC) champion, Philadelphia Eagles lock horns in the game’s 57th edition.
The Eagles defeated the San Francisco 49ers in a 31-7 blowout. In a major blow, the 49ers lost Brock Purdy early and the rushing touchdowns from Jalen Hurts and the team provided a much-needed advantage to the Eagles.
Whereas on the other hand, The Chiefs edged the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20. Patrick Mahomes was great even with a high-ankle sprain. His gallop at the end of the game, which drew a penalty, helped set up Harrison Butker’s game-winning field goal.
However, another big show that is set to take place apart from the big match encounter is the performances during the Super Bowl and who will set the stage on fire when the two heavyweight giants of the NFL lock horn at the iconic state farm stadium in Arizona.
Among the biggest name, Rihanna headlines the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show. Rihanna’s NAVY has been anticipating new music from Rihanna since she dropped Anti in 2016. They have also been counting down the months for this performance ever since the NFL announced that she would follow 2022’s hip-hop extravaganza.
She confirmed her availability way back last year on September 25th when she posted a photo holding the NFL-branded football. What then followed was the official statement from Roc Nation – Jay-Z’s production company producing the Super Bowl Halftime show since 2020 and the NFL confirmed it later that Rihanna will be sealing the headline in 2023’s mega event halftime.
While interacting with a major media house on her deal Rihanna in November said, “I can’t believe I even said yes. It was one of those things that even when I announced it, I was like, ‘OK, I can’t take it back. Now, it’s like final.”
She went on to further say, “The Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world, it’s an entertainer’s dream to be on a stage like that. But it’s nerve-racking. You want to get it right. You know, everybody’s watching. And they’re rooting for you. And I want to get it right.”
