The Supreme Court has ordered Centre and 10 states including Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Meghalaya, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Punjab and Maharashtra to present a detailed report about where incidents of threat and violence were reported against Kashmiris after the Pulwama terror attack.
The bench seeking the report was led by the Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi after hearing a petition filed by Ariq Adeeb.
Adeeb moved the Top Court seeking an intervention and a direction to the Centre ensuring that violent incidents against Kashmiris are stopped immediately.
