Sushant Singh Rajput's friend Smita Parikh who is also considered to be close to the late actor's family has made some sensational revelations in an interview with ETimes. Smita revealed that she and Sushant were friends since 2017. Smita revealed that she became Sushant's friends when Sushant first visited her literature festival as a guest speaker and spoke around the changes needed in our education system and artificial intelligence. After that, Smita and Sushant got along very well and Smita became friends with Sushant's sister and brother-in-law too.

Smita revealed that she lost touch with Sushant in August 2019. She also revealed that she met Rhea when she went for dinner at Sushant's house. Smita said "Rhea was present there with his manager Shruti. I was informed there that this girl (Shruti) would manage his work hereafter and she had been brought by Rhea." Smita also revealed that she tried to wish Sushant on his birthday but he kept changing his numbers and so she sent birthday wishes through Rhea Chakraborty. 

Questioning on Sushant's autopsy reports Smita said, " "There's so much overwriting on Sushant's autopsy report," adding, "I asked Meetu (Sushant's sister) if she saw him hanging. She said 'No', he was already lying on the bed (when she entered the room)," adding that there are contradictory statements on who brought his body down and who gave him medicines and which ones. "There's too much cover-up and mystery."

Smita also questioned Sidharth Pithani's foul-play. She said first Pithani said he used to give medicine to Sushant which was given to him without knowing the name and then he names the medicine 'Quitipin' which is generally given to patients of bipolar disorder. Smita asked if Sushant was going through depression and bipolar disorder then hoe he established a company for Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik in January. 

Going by Smita's interview, Rhea informed her that she would leave whenever Sushant's family would arrive (in the house). "This was told to me by Rhea, she said nahin toh jhagde ho jaate the." But Smita further reveals, "They (Sushant's family) had accepted that Sushant likes Rhea and wants to marry her. In today's times even if you see red flags, can you do anything about it? They had warned him enough but maybe Sushant had made up his mind by then."
