South cinema superstars Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi starrer action-thriller film 'Master' have received tremendous openings at the box office. According to reports, the film has grossed over 40 crores worldwide on the first day. This is the first film in the Corona era in India, which got such a bumper opening. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film was released in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada on Wednesday. Its Hindi version reached theaters on Thursday.
In its report, Bollywood Life states that Master collected more than Rs. 23 crore in Tamil Nadu alone. Its collection in Kerala and Karnataka is said to be more than Rs 3-3 crores.
In Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, 'Master' earned more than Rs 4.5 crore. At the same time, it is being reported as a turnover of more than Rs 1.5 crore from the rest of the country. Apart from all this, the film has collected over 4 crore rupees from the overseas markets.
Apart from Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi, Malvika Mohanan, Shantanu Bhagyaraj, Arjun Das and Naseer also have important roles in the film. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj and co-writer Ratna Kumar have also given special appearances in the film.
