A tragedy was narrowly averted as a major accident occurred on the Jalandhar-Pathankot National Highway this Thursday morning which left four vehicles badly damaged. The accident happened near Adda Khudda on Jalandhar-Pathankot National Highway which resulted in the national highway traffic being affected for some time. Fourtunately, no casualties were reported however one person suffered minor injuries due to the accident, as per reports.
As per reports, one of two tippers going from Jalandhar to Pathankot suddenly went out of control and hit the other tipper, which overturned on an Indigo car going on the national highway. A Punjab Roadways bus going from Jalandhar to Pathankot also collided with these tippers.
Thankfully, the passengers in the bus and the passengers of the Indigo car narrowly escaped tragedy. A tipper driver suffered minor injuries, who was taken to the Government Hospital Tanda by the Sadak Suraksha Force team that reached the spot. Traffic on the national highway has also been restored. In this regard, the Tanda police has reached the spot further action has been started. The totaled vehicles have been taken into custody.
