Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi who is currently lodged in jail has made multiple failed attempts to assassinate Salman Khan. Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang are targeting the 58-year-old actor over the infamous Blackbuck case. On April 14, 2024, there was a firing at Salman Khan's Bandra house Galaxy Apartment. Two months after the incident, Salman recorded his statement to the Mumbai Police. A Hindi media portal reported that Salman Khan in his statement said, "I am tired of being targeted by different people again and again. I have received threats many times before, and have been fined. I am stuck in many cases. I am frustrated. I have already been sentenced by the court."

Apart from this, Salman also informed the Mumbai Police that he was at home at the time of the shooting. In his statement, Salman Khan told the police that he had slept late after a party the night before the incident. The sound of a bullet that was later found to have hit his balcony woke him. Salman stated that he woke up and went to the balcony to check and looked outside but did not see anyone. As per reports, Salman Khan's statement was recorded for three hours while his brother, Arbaaz Khan was questioned for two hours. The brothers were asked over 150 questions.

At the time of the incident when firing at Galaxy Apartment took place, Arbaaz Khan was present at his Juhu house. In his statement, Arbaaz told the police that he was aware of the threats his brother had received from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in the past.
