7 died as several coaches of Seemanchal Express derail near Sahadai Buzurg in Bihar

The unaffected 12 coaches of the train are being moved to Hajipur where additional coaches will be attached and the train will move for Anand Vihar Terminal

Sahadai Buzurg: In the early hours of Sunday, 11 coaches of the Jogbani-Anand Vihar Terminal Seemanchal Express were derailed. Seven people lost their lives in the incident while, several people are reportedly injured. According to the information received from Sonpur Division, the train passed the Mehnar Road at 3:52 am and was derailed near Sahadai Buzurg at around 3:58 am. 

A team of doctors have reportedly been rushed to the accident site from nearby areas of Sonpur and Barauni. A total number of casualties as of now is 6. All the injured passengers have been shifted to nearby hospitals, district hospitals and railway hospital. An adequate number of doctors are available at the site as well. Ambulances have been pressed into service. Accident relief train has also been moved for carrying out relief and rescue operations.
