PM condoles deaths in Bihar rail accident, assures action

PM said that Railways, NDRF, and local authorities are providing all possible assistance in the wake of the accident

New Delhi: On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the deaths in the train accident that took place in the early hours of Sunday in Bihar.

In a tweet, the PM said that Railways, NDRF, and local authorities are providing all possible assistance in the wake of the accident. ''Deeply anguished by the loss of lives due to the derailment of coaches of the Seemanchal Express. My thoughts are with the bereaved families. May the injured recover quickly. Railways, NDRF, and local authorities are providing all possible assistance in the wake of the accident",  the PM tweeted.

In a major train accident, at least seven people died while as many as 24 people were injured after 11 coaches of the Delhi-bound Seemanchal Express derailed in Vaishali district of Bihar. 
The incident took place at around 0358 hrs after the train passed Mehnar Road.
