However, many people have this question: Will the tickets be free to travel on the Vande Bharat Express from Katra to Srinagar? If so, for whom?
According to the latest update (and reports from ETNOW), tickets are free for children under five years old. Others must pay to witness the marvel of the railway riding through the beauty of Kashmir. Additionally, if one requires an extra seat for a child, then a full fare price is levied.

Katra-Srinagar Vande Bharat Train Ticket Price:
Indian Railways is expected to soon release the fare chart for the Katra-Srinagar Vande Bharat train. Please note that the Northern Railway (NR) zone operates and maintains this semi-high-speed train.
The expected fare prices are approximately as follows: from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to Srinagar, the fare for an AC Chair Car may be around ₹1500–₹1600, while the fare for an Executive Chair Car may range between ₹2200 and ₹2500. The Jammu–Srinagar Vande Bharat train has 1 Executive Class coach and 7 AC Chair Car coaches. Its total passenger capacity is 530.
PM Modi’s Srinagar Visit Postponed
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not visit Srinagar on April 19, as his program has been postponed. Previously, the PM was set to flag off the Vande Bharat train that day. Reports indicate that bad weather is the reason for the temporary postponement of the PM's event. It remains unclear when PM Modi will visit Srinagar or when the Vande Bharat will be flagged off.
