Social media platform X (formerly Twitter) experienced an outrage on Wednesday, 28th August. Downdetector.com, a website that detects and tracks service disruption confirmed X down or Twitter Down Today. As per Downdetector.com, more than 1,123 complaints had been registered regarding the service disruption by 9:00 am this morning. As per the Downdetector.com mainly users in regions like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata reported the non-functionality of X.
As per the downdetector.com, there was a sudden increase in the complaints of the users around 8:30 am. At 8:30 am almost 8 users complained about the service disruption of X. After that, at 8:45 am, the number of user complaints increased to 641. By 8:54 am, the user’s complaints increased to 1,054 and then it eventually started to decline. The complaints went down to 614 by 9:00 am. By around 9:15 am, the users' complain went down to just 50.
These complaints were mainly about the non-functionality of the app. Around 36,500 reports were from the US where the users reported that they are not being able to access the platform.

Downdetector.com showed over 3,300 reports of outages in Canada and 1,600 reports in the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, Indian users of the social media platform were unable to refresh their feeds or load new posts on the app.
