In a horrific incident on Saturday morning, dense smog led to a collision of 25 to 30 vehicles on the National Highway in Khanna, Ludhiana. Among the vehicles caught in the chaos was a school bus carrying 40-50 children.

As per reports, locals are blaming the bus driver for the irresponsible driving that led to the horrific accident. Luckily the instant action of the people present at the spot helped 50 to 50 children escape.

The morning smog severely impacted visibility, creating hazardous conditions for the people traveling. As the school bus, was traveling from Ludhiana to Ambala, it collided with a truck loaded with glass near a village. The crash caused other cars to crash too. In the end, about 25 to 30 cars all bumped into each other.

The school bus was traveling to Kurukshetra on a school trip. Luckily, all the kids are fine. But people are checking if the bus driver was not careful enough, which might have caused the crash. They say the driver hit a truck, and the truck had a lot of glass that got broken. The broken glass is worth about 3 to 4 lakh rupees.

After hearing the news about the crash, the Police became instantly active in identifying the reason for this accident. Officers like Paramjeet Singh Bainipal and Jagtar Singh hurried to the spot. They quickly redirected the traffic after putting all the accident-prone vehicles to the side and started looking into what happened.

There has been a similar kind of accident near this place on 13th November. Due to smog, almost 50 vehicles collided with each other. The news of this horrific tragedy made CM. Bhagwant Mann worried. The Health Minister of Punjab Dr. Balbir Singh reportedly went straight to see the people who were hurt in Khanna.

There was also a crash on Amritsar-Delhi National Highway. More than 100 vehicles collided leading to a major accident of about 13 kilometers. Unfortunately, one person lost their life, and six others got seriously hurt. Right now, the injured ones are being taken care of at Khanna Civil Hospital.

The roads around here are not in good shape, and that makes accidents like the one in Ludhiana more likely. Bad roads, especially when it's foggy, can be really dangerous for everyone. The government should fix the roads so they can be safe for people while travelling especially during extreme weather conditions.
