Following a complaint by one Rajiv Singh, r/o village Jamalpur, District Pathankot, VB Punjab, on 24.01.2023, arrested Manjit Singh, Junior Engineer, posted at PSPCL Sub-Station Sarna, District Pathankot, red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs. 2000/-.
The Complainant had alleged that the accused JE had been demanding the bribe in lieu of shifting electricity wires running over his agricultural fields.
After verification, the VB laid a trap and arrested the accused. A case under PC Act has been registered at VB PS Amritsar and further investigation is under progress.
