The Chandigarh Vigilance Bureau team raided Mansa Nagar Council. Vigilance also took the records of Nagar Council from its custody. It is to be noted that a complaint was made by the councillor of Nagar Council that corruption is being done in Nagar Council by taking a commission from the advertisement and fraud system in the name of NOC, after which the Vigilance Team, which reached here from Chandigarh today, raided the place.

Councillor Premsagar Bol said that bribes are being taken from Mansa Nagar Council for map advertisement, and a good percentage, i.e., 18% of the commission, is being taken from the contractors. He said that in 2014, a couple of Nagar Council members were arrested while taking bribes, and a case has been registered against Nagar Council Chairman Vijay Kumar Singla and five other officers of Nagar Council for taking 18 percent of the of the commission. 

In this case, one accused was arrested and sent to jail, but still, the Nagar Council Chairman and other employees are away from the reach of Vigilance. Their bail was cancelled by Mansa Court. And now he is absconding. Counselor Premsagar Bol said that corruption is happening on a large scale in Mansa Nagar Council.

In this case, he had complained to the government minister, after which he sent the matter to the director, and the director has sent the vigilance team to Mansa for investigation in this matter.
