Weather Update: Monsoon expected to hit the northern Indian states on THESE dates

Due to pre-monsoon conditions in many areas of Punjab and Haryana, people will soon get relief from the heat. A rain alert has been issued in 8 states in Haryana, and the monsoon is expected to arrive in Punjab within 3 to 4 days.

In Haryana, the weather department has issued rain alerts in 8 districts today, including Gurugram, Mahendragarh, Charkhi Dadri, Bhiwani, Rewari, Jhajjar, Rohtak, and Hisar. Most of the districts are cloudy. In the morning, Jind, Safi, Dojulana, Barwala, Hansi, Narnod, Bhiwani, Kode, and in the evening, Rajod, Maham, Lakh Namaz, Rakala, Naur, Kolsi, Charkhi Dadri, and Jhajjar received rainfall. In Hisar, lightning struck the plant nursery located at Matka Chakra, resulting in a large fire in the trees planted there. Additionally, the pots kept there also broke.

In Punjab, for the second consecutive day, there is a heatwave alert in 13 districts, including Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, Faridkot, Hind, Barnala, Mansa, Ludhiana, and Sangrur. Due to rain and strong winds, the average temperature of Haryana has dropped by 1.4 degrees, while the average temperature of Punjab has dropped by 0.7 degrees. No change has been observed in Chandigarh, where the temperature is around 40 degrees. In the middle and upper areas of Himachal Pradesh, there is continuous rainfall.
