When any mention of Egypt is made, the first thing that comes to mind are the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx, the Pharaoh, Tomb of Tutankhamun and also gives us a hint that aliens exist and have been to Earth. Egypt is full of history and mummified skeletons along with papyrus, ornaments and scriptures are proof that Ancient Egyptians believed in the afterlife. Mummy's that have been found are as old as 2500 years and more.

Talking about the discoveries, Howard Carter, a British archaeologist and Egyptologist who discovered the intact tomb of the 18th Dynasty Pharaoh Tutankhamun in November 1922, the best-preserved pharaonic tomb ever found in the Valley of the Kings. It is also one of the biggest discoveries ever made in the history of Egypt. But, don't call him lucky because it took him almost 6 years to excavate and find the tomb. He did face many struggles and failures when accidently one day he opened a doorway that brought the world closer to history by finding King Tut's Tomb and 110.4 kilograms of gold along with it, which was unusual because people looted the tombs. This opened the doors of fame for Howard Carter and tourism for Egypt.

Dr. Zahi Hawass, an Egyptian Archeologist, was sad about the fact that every great discovery had been made by foreigners. So, he aimed at changing the future archaeology of Egypt by finding the lost Pyramid of Huni. Emperor Huni was the last Pharaoh of the III Dynasty of Egypt. Many archeologists believed that he was buried in the Meidum Pyramid but found no luck there. Dr. Hawass believed that his tomb could possibly be in Saqqara next to step pyramids. So, with this instinct and all the knowledge he had, he set out on a quest to find King Huni's tomb and give him the fame that he deserves.

'Unknown: The Lost Pyramid' released on Netflix on 3 July 2023 is all about Egyptian history.

In the sands of Saqqara, two of the world's most famous Egyptologists, Dr. Zahi Hawass and his protege and rival, Dr. Mostafa Waziri race with their teams against the clock to see who will make the biggest discovery.

In the desert sands of Saqqara, the latest hotspot of Egyptian archaeology, two of the world's most famous Egyptologists seek to unearth ancient treasures. The legendary Dr. Zahi Hawass hunts for the long-lost pyramid of a forgotten Egyptian king while his protege and rival, Dr. Mostafa Waziri, searches for an unlooted tomb in an ancient necropolis. Both teams race against the clock to see who will make the bigger discovery and make their mark in history.

Time, Knowledge and Hope made it all possible. Dr. Mostafa Waziri found a papyrus in Bubasteion. It is the 'Book of Dead' which is still being translated into Arabic. This book had a mention in the movie 'The Mummy' in 1999. It is showcased in the Museum of Cairo as Waziri Papyrus.

On the other hand, Dr. Zahi Hawass found the base of the Pyramid of Huni at Gisr El-Mudir. The excavation is still going on and may take about a year to uncover a new long lost pyramid with a past and the secrets that it holds.
