What impact will the future WhatsApp updates have on us?

According to WABetalnfo's screenshots, WhatsApp will have two new tabs: Recent and Gallery. The goal appears to be to make it easier for users to choose which media to share on their status or with their contacts. All of the photographs, videos, and GIFs that have been recently added to the phone's gallery will be displayed under the Recent tab.

WhatsApp is said to be working on a redesign that would affect the way we share photos and videos on the platform. According to WABeta info, the Facebook-owned network has begun to distribute a fresh beta version for Android users via the Google Play Beta Program. Although there are no new features in this version, it does imply that a revised media picker is in the works.

When and how will the new settings be available?
According to the source, the revamped media area will not be visible when you tap the '+' symbol in a chat, but it will be visible when you visit the phone's gallery by pressing the camera icon in a chat or the Status section. It is unknown when the feature will be ready because it is still in development.

WhatsApp implemented a UPI QR (quick response) code scanning capability for Indian users earlier this week. You can now pay a retailer, merchant, or any other user directly by scanning a QR code with the new feature. You can use the scanner to transfer payments to people who aren't on your contact list without having to type in their UPI ID. On Android and iOS handsets, the QR code scanner is already available to all WhatsApp users. Keep in mind that the feature will only work if your UPI ID has been linked to the WhatsApp Payments service.
