Hyperactive groups or individuals in your WhatsApp contacts can be annoying at times. Till now one could only mute any contact and group up to a few hours or maximum for a year at a time. WhatsApp keeps updating it's messaging app for a hassle-free experience for its users. It has now come up with new features where one can use the 'Always Mute' option for contacts and groups.

The feature will roll out as Beta Version according to WABetaInfo which tracks latest updates in WhatsApp. Features that are available for Beta users of the app are a new Storage Usage UI and its tools, and Media Guidelines. All these features are in WhatsApp 2.20.201.10 beta for Android and are yet to be rolled out for all users in a stable release.
