On Tuesday, British YouTuber Miles Routledge posted a video on social media platform X with the caption, “When I become prime minister of England, I'll open the nuclear silos as an explicit warning to any foreign power that interferes with British interests and affairs. I'm not talking huge incidents, I'm itching to launch and atomize entire nations over the smallest infraction.”
After a minute, Miles Routledge added a comment to the post: “Hell, I might just launch at India just for the sake of it!” Now comment is not available on X.
But the question arises: who is Miles Routledge, who is facing backlash after his series of racist remarks targeting Indians on social media platform X (Twitter)?
Who is Miles Routledge?
Miles Arthur Le-Vesconte Routledge (Miles Routledge) was born on September 14, 1999, in Birmingham, England. More commonly known by the nickname Lord Miles, his occupation is YouTuber, writer, and adventurer. Miles Routledge (Lord Miles) is a famous content creator with 141K subscribers on YouTube and a total view count of 5.1 million while writing. Miles Routledge published his book on November 23, 2022 titled “Lord Miles in Afghanistan." He is best known as the British student who was abandoned in Afghanistan during the Taliban takeover of 2021 and had to be evacuated from the country. Miles was detained by the Taliban's General Directorate of Intelligence on his third visit to Afghanistan, from March 2023 to October 2023.
Miles Routledge received DMs from trolls after posting mocking statements. He assumed that the trolling account may belong to an Indian, so he started replying with racist remarks and mocking Indians, most of which are now deleted.
Lord Miles response stated,“Saar your mum after I do my shift at Uber screams that at night btw saar, please saar, harder saar, I spit on the bitch and all she says is thaank sou saar. I don't shower saar and women don't talk to me saar. I work at Tim Hortons saar”
“Saar I will see you soon saar,” Routledge said, replying to his troll’s comment in another reply.
“Indian threatens to find me, it backfires lmao,” he wrote, sharing a screenshot of the conversation with the troll. The screenshot shows a message that reads, “I will find you I promise, your apology video will be sweet.” Miles Routledge responded by sharing his location and following it up with “Saar okay lord saar good luck saar haha saar” in a message clearly mocking the way Indians, according to him, talk.
