Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor has been under fire on social media after the Pahalgam Terror Attack. Thousands of social media users bombarded the comment section of Vaani Kapoor on her Instagram following the Pahalgam attacks. The hate increased so much that Vaani had to disable the comment section on one of her Instagram posts. Notably, Vaani took to her Instagram story and expressed her condolences to the victims of the Pahalgam Terror Attack.
The actress wrote, "Have been numb, at a loss of words since the time I have seen the attack on innocent people in Pahalgam. Gutted. Devastated. My prayers are with the families."

The answer is due to her upcoming movie, Abir Gulal. In the upcoming movie, Abir Gulal, Vaani Kapoor will be seen romancing with Pakistani actor Fawad Khan. With the movie Abir Gulal, Fawad Khan is making his comeback into Bollywood. Since there are allegations that the terrorists who slaughtered 26 tourists in Pahalgam were from Pakistan, fans on social media lambasted the Indian actress for doing a film with the Pakistani actor.
Notably, the last time India and Pakistan were involved in a standoff, Fawad Khan allegedly made a controversial remark in which he said that Indians have small hearts. However, later it turned out to be misleading and distorted.
In the meanwhile, Fawad also reacted to the Pahalgam Terror Attacks in which he said, "Deeply saddened to hear the news of the heinous attack in Pahalgam. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this horrifying incident, and we pray for strength and healing for their families in this difficult time.
Abir Gulal not to be released in India
Notably, after BoycottAbirGulal swept the internet, the movie will not be released in India. As per an India Today report, Abir Gulal was slated for release on May 9, however, it won't be released in India now. It has faced boycott calls in the wake of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, which claimed the lives of 26 tourists and left several others injured.
Directed by Aarti S Bagdi, the film has stirred controversy due to Fawad Khan’s casting. The public outrage after the attack has left several social media users demanding strict action against Pakistan and questioning the Indian film industry's continued collaboration with Pakistani artists. It is pertinent to mention here that the Bombay High Court dismissed a 2023 petition demanding a total ban on Pakistani artists working in India, several political parties and film associations remain firmly opposed to such collaborations.
