Women set liquor vend on fire in Panchkula

Police have booked unidentified women for setting a liquor vend on fire in Dholuwal village of Pinjore, Panchkula. 

A complaint was made by the employees of the vend near Amravati Enclave in Pinjore to the police that some women had come to vend and asked to shut down the outlet.

However, sarpanch of the village presented the two sides of the scenario. After women asked the contractor to shut down the outlet, they did so as per the official timing and left. But, after an hour, they came to know that someone had set their vend on fire.


When contractor along with employees reached there, they found that all the liquor bottles inside had been destroyed and cash had got burnt.

They informed the police and filed a complaint against the women. A case has been registered by the police under the Explosives Act and the Epidemic Diseases Act of the Indian Penal Code at the Pinjore police station.
