Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Thursday announced that all schools of Jalandhar district will remain closed on August 16, 2024. It means students & children studying in schools of Jalandhar are all set to enjoy the long weekend as August 17 is Saturday and 18 is Sunday. Jalandhar school holiday announcement was made by CM Mann while addressing the public at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium. He said that for many days school children have been preparing for the Independence Day program. Due to this, all the schools will remain closed tomorrow.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann hoisted the flag at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium in Jalandhar. During this, Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav was also present. In his message to the people of Punjab, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that Punjabis played an important role in all the movements that took place for the independence of the country. Mann said that today's day has been achieved by paying a big price. Independence has cost us a lot, but despite this, the contribution made by Punjabis in the development of the country cannot be found anywhere in the world.
