With the RCB vs CSK match done and dusted, fans are expressing their emotions over MS Dhoni's retirement.

MS Dhoni's retirement rumors intensified after CSK posted an emotional tribute video for 'Thala'. In the video, CSK showcased how fans supported the Men In Yellow in large numbers just because of the presence of MSD. Notably, after the CSK vs RCB match, MS Dhoni did not even shake everyone's hands and went straight inside the pavilion. This hinted that MSD was too emotional and may be donning the Yellow jersey for the last time.

Notably, when Virat did not see Dhoni on the ground, the RCB star went straight into the dugout to meet him. A video of this is also going viral on social media.

Ahead of the match against CSK, Virat Kohli had explored the possibility that this might be Dhoni's last IPL match."Mahi bhai and I will be playing again, maybe for the last time, who knows. It'll be a great moment for fans, we had a great partnership for India over the years. We all know how many matches he's finished and won the match for the team," Kohli said on Jio Cinema's Inside Out show.

There has been uncertainty over Dhoni's IPL future over the past few seasons as injuries have limited his participation in the tournament. However, the 42-year-old continues to mesmerise the fans with his presence on the field. He led CSK to the IPL title last year.

It is pertinent to mention here that during one of the events, MS Dhoni had expressed his wish to play his last match at the Chepauk. If MSD sticks to it, he may play IPL 2025. MS Dhoni is 42 years old and next year he will be 43.
