The much-awaited web series of the year Paatal Lok Season 2 was released on Amazon Prime Video on January 17, 2025. Ever since its release, fans have been lavishing praise on Paatal Lok Season 2 creator Sudip Sharma for delivering a power packed powerformance and gripping story. Paatal Lok Season 2 is a suspense crime thriller that revolves around Delhi Police's investigation into the gruesome murder of Nagaland Democratic Forum Founder Jonathan Thom. While Thom's murder is being investigated by ACP Ansari, a missing person's case is handled by Inspector Hath Ram Choudhary played by Jaideep Ahlawat.

Paatal Lok Season 2 Storyline
Paatal Lok Season 2 starts with Inspector Hathiram Choudhary of Jamunapar Police Station advocating for a lady constable who is resigning from the Police services. On the other hand, Imran Ansari who was junior to Hathiram in Season 1 has now become an ACP after clearing USPC.
The series starts with a waiter at a hotel discovering the body of Jonathan Thom in his room. Jonathan Thom's dead body was found lying in a pool of blood. His head was chopped off. It was Jonathan Thom who brought the Nagaland leadership onto the table for the Nagaland Business Summit. Jonathan Thom was persuaded for this by Kapil Reddy who is played by Nagesh Kukunoor.
At the start, a woman named Geeta comes with her son Guddu to file a missing person's report of her husband Raghu Paswan played by actor Shailesh Kumar. Raghu hails from Chapra, Bihar but living in Delhi due to work. Reluctant Hathi Ram probe the case and it first it seemed like Raghu fled away with some girl. But later, the missing of Raghu gets linked to the murder of Thom. And, this is how Inspector Hathi Ram and ACP Ansari join hands once again.
What happened to Raghu Paswan and his link with Rose Lizo? (Spoilers Ahead)
Raghu Paswan was killed by his cousin named Kishor. In Episode 1 of Paatal Lok Season 2, Hathi Ram visits Kishor's house to investigate during which he informs him that Raghu has not returned from many days.
Ultimately, Hathi Ram cracks the case and it is revealed that Kishor along with his roommates bludgeoned Raghu to death with his trumpet. Raghu was killed as he had promised to pay Rs 5 lakh to Kishor as he took an auto to drop Rose Lizo played by actress Merenla Imso at the hotel where she was supposed to meet Jonathan Thom.
Raghu's link with Rose was only being a helpful person. When Rose was roaming the streets of Delhi in an intoxicated state, it was Raghu who saved her. And, this is how Raghu and Rose started knowing each other. Rose was Thom's illegitimate daughter. However, Thom slept with Rose after which she delivered a baby girl. For this, Rose demanded a ransom of Rs 2 crore from Thom. Thom agreed to pay but before he paid Rs 2 crore, he was killed in his hotel room by Uncle Ken.
Rose Lizo also dies after sustaining injuries from sniper bullets that was fired by Uncle Ken's adopted son Daniel.
