'Pay Rs 1 crore or else..': Jalandhar DIPS school owner gets death threat over 'school deal'

In a major development, Jalandhar DIPS school owner got death threats and was asked to pay Rs. 1 crore. In this case, the police registered a case under sections 341, 506 and have made Ishan Makkar, a resident of Virk Enclave, the accused.

Jalandhar DIPS owner has alleged that the accused, along with his associates, had threatened him outside the DC office a few days ago. As per reports, there was a dispute between the two regarding the deal of the school. Regarding this, the school group owner had filed a complaint to the CP. He had gone to the Police Commissioner's office on April 26 to complain about this matter. During this, Ishan stopped his car and threatened that if he did not pay Rs. 1 crore, he would kill him and his family.

A.D.C.P. stated that Sahibzada Ajit Singh Education Trust chairman Gubchan Singh had done the deal of the school located in Jalalabad with Anjana Makkar and her family through Bhupinder Singh Makkar. After this, the power of attorney was given. During this, the father of the complainant died on 11 February 2021 and later 3 registrations of 3 schools were done through power of attorney. The ADCP said that they had taken the money for the school deal and were harassing the complainant that he had given the school on lease. He said that no lease was shown during the investigation. However, the complainant had handed over the details of the payment made for buying the school to the police. 

The ADCP said that Ishaan had stopped Raju and threatened to kill him over the school dispute. Due to this, a case has been registered on the complaint of the victim.
