Punjab has been witnessing weird weather for the past few days. At one end, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) of Chandigarh unit has been predicting that its multiple districts will witness thunderstorms; on the other hand, many of its districts are witnessing a temperature rise. While IMD Chandigarh's prediction about rainfall in Punjab has not entirely turned out to be true, the weather department on Sunday issued a fresh thunderstorm prediction in the state. Punjab Rainfall Prediction
IMD Chandigarh on May 31 issued a new weather alert and maintained its stance that multiple districts will witness rainfall from June 1 to June 3. The weather department also put such districts on yellow alert for rainfall-
- June 1, 2025- Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, Mohali, and Fatehgarh Sahib
- June 2, 2025- Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala, Sangrur, Mansa, Bathinda, Barnala, Ludhiana Moga, Muktasar and Fazilka
- June 3, 2025- Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib, Sangrur, Mansa, Bathinda, Barnala, Moga, Faridkot, Muktasar, Fazilka, Ferozepur, and Mansa
- June 4, 2025- No Rain Prediction

Despite rainfall in a few isolated areas of Punjab, the temperature continued to soar in the state. Below is a list of districts and the maximum temperature they recorded on May 31, 2025-
Amritsar- 37.6°C, Ludhiana- 39.4°C, Patiala- 40.5°C, Pathankot- 36.3°C, Faridkot- 41°C, Gurdaspur- 41.5°C, Bathinda- 44.1°C (Hottest).
