Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is all hands on deck for the upcoming Jalandhar West bye-elections 2024. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann himself is actively involved in campaigning for the West candidate Mohinder Bhagat. Now in his absence at the Jalandhar house, CM Mann’s wife, Dr. Gurpreet Kaur is also taking part in the campaign and promoting the party principles. Dr. Gurpreet Kaur has been personally listening to the grievances of the citizens at the camp office and gave orders for their solutions.
This is not the first time that CM Mann's wife has taken over the work in his absence. The doctor also managed the election work during the bye-elections in Sangrur. Yesterday, she heard the complaints of the people at the Chief Minister's residence in Jalandhar. During this, tight security arrangements were also made.
In Jalandhar, Chief Minister Mann has said that he will listen to the complaints of the people in this camp office two days a week. CM Mann's new house will not only remain till the bye-election, but till the 2027 assembly elections. According to reports, the Chief Minister will stay in this residence for 2 days a week. It is pertinent to note that during the Lok Sabha bye-elections in Jalandhar, CM Mann and his team stayed in hotels, but this time, he has decided to rent a house in Jalandhar.
Talking about his house in Jalandhar, CM Mann has rented the Nanak Niwas residence near Deep Nagar for the bye-election to be held in Jalandhar West Assembly constituency. CM Mann moved into the residence with his wife Dr. Gurpreet Kaur and daughter. Police has increased security in Deep Nagar area of Jalandhar. The house has 5 bedrooms and is built on 131 marlas space.
