Punjab Holidays October 2024: The people of Punjab are all set to witness a 2-day holiday in the state. As per reports, there will be government holidays on October 2 and 3 (Wednesday and Thursday) in Punjab. This decision has reportedly been made due to Gandhi Jayanti (October 2) on Wednesday and Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti (October 3) along with Navratri Kalash Sthapana on Thursday. These holidays fall on Wednesday and Thursday, followed by a working Friday and a weekend break. All schools, colleges, banks, and government offices in the state will remain closed on these two days.

Notably, October is packed with major festivals such as Durga Ashtami, Dussehra, Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti, and Diwali.

The first public holiday of October will be on October 2, for Gandhi Jayanti, when banks, government offices, schools, and colleges will be closed. In Punjab and Rajasthan, an additional holiday on October 3 for Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti. These holidays are listed in the government’s official annual holiday schedule.
