Salman Khan Firing Case: 2 arrested from Jalandhar for supplying weapons to the shooters

Mumbai Police’ Crime Branch have arrested two more accused from Jalandhar, Punjab in the case of firing outside Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartment in Bandra. During preliminary interrogation, it was revealed that the most recently arrested had provided weapons to the main accused Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal.

 

The accused arrested from Jalandhar have been identified as Sonu Subhash Chander (37) and Anuj Thapan (32). Anuj used to work as a helper for a truck driver. Subhash is a farmer and also runs a grocery shop. Several cases are already registered against Anuj in Punjab and Haryana and has been known to have ties with the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang. Both of them had delivered two pistols on March 15.

 

According to information, the team of Mumbai Crime Branch reached Jalandhar on Thursday. After contacting the district police, the team arrested the said accused at night. According to sources, the accused had provided two pistols and 38 live cartridges to Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta. As per reports, both the accused are special henchmen of Lawrence. So far four accused have been arrested in the case.

 

According to the information received, both the weapons were tested by the arrested before delivery of the weapons. The accused had fired one shot from both the weapons in Jalandhar. He had a total of 40 bullets. After firing two, he had 38 bullets left.

 

Which the accused had handed over to Sagar Pal and Vicky. Out of 38 rounds, 5 rounds were fired by Sagar Pal at Salman's house. 17 rounds have been recovered by Mumbai Crime Branch from Tapi river. While 16 rounds are missing. The police is busy searching for the said bullets. Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta have been kept on police remand till April 29.

 

Mumbai Crime Branch in contact with Jalandhar Police

Mumbai Crime Branch has contacted Jalandhar Police. However, no official has given any statement regarding this, because sources related to Mumbai Police have revealed that Sagar was earlier in Jalandhar only. He reportedly came in contact with Lawrence Gang through a third person in Jalandhar itself. Therefore, Mumbai Police was collecting information from Jalandhar in this case leading to the accused’s arrest.
