The Kalyani Nagar Accident is turning out to be a high-profile case in which a well-known Pune builder's minor son drove his Porsche car at high speed killing two people going on a bike. Accused, 17, was arrested after he killed two people travelling on a bike when his 'unregistered' supercar Porsche hit them at 3 am on Sunday in Kalyani Nagar. He was thrashed by locals present there, and later an FIR was registered against him. Since he was a juvenile, accused was granted bail on simple terms and conditions. Now, a new CCTV video has come to the fore in the Pune Car Crash case.
In the new CCTV, the builder's minor son can be seen enjoying in a pub along with his friends. While accused's friends can be seen smoking and drinking, the builder's son can seen talking to them. However, when he stands, he lifts his glass which is filled with alcohol, and drinks it. Interestingly, reports suggest that Vedant's alcohol test submitted in Court was negative.
Notably, after the outrage, the Pune Police Crime Branch arrested the owners of Cozie Pub in Mundhwa and Blak Pub in Marriott Suites for allowing a minor to enter the premises and serving alcohol, which ultimately led to a fatal accident in Kalyaninagar. This action follows the registration of two FIRs by the Crime Branch in connection with the tragic incident.
Accused's father arrested
On Tuesday morning, a team from the Pune Police’s crime branch located and arrested Vishal Agarwal in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Vishal Agarwal has been booked under sections 3, 5, and 199 of the Motor Vehicles Act and section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act for permitting his minor son to drive a car and allowing him to consume alcohol and drive despite knowing that he is a minor.
