As per the information received, Amandeep Kaur hails from Chakk Fateh Singh Wala village and was posted in Mansa. However, she was recently serving the Bathinda Police Lines. On Thursday when Amandeep Kaur spotted the Police signaling to stop her car at the Naaka, she attempted to flee but was chased down. She even threatened police officers during the arrest. A search of her vehicle led to the discovery of 17.71 grams of heroin hidden in the gearbox compartment of her Thar.

As per the information received, Amandeep Kaur frequently supplied drugs in Sirsa, Haryana. Investigators suspect that she was also a drug user herself. Authorities have confirmed that she will undergo a dope test as part of the ongoing probe.
As per DSP City-1 Harbans Singh, police had been receiving complaints about certain officers involved in drug smuggling, including a woman constable driving a black Thar jeep and living a lavish lifestyle. Acting on credible information, a joint team of Vardhman Police and the Anti-Narcotics Bureau set up a checkpoint on Badal Road.
As a black Thar approached Ladli Chowk, police signaled it to stop. Instead of complying, the woman jumped out and attempted to escape, but was quickly apprehended by female constables and other officers present at the scene.
During questioning, Amandeep Kaur said that she is posted as a senior constable in Punjab Police. She has been posted in Bathinda for a long time. It is alleged that she was smuggling chitta for a long time but was escaping every time under the cover of uniform. The police have registered a case against the woman constable in Canal Police Station.
Amandeep Kaur dismissed from services
Amandeep Kaur has been dismissed from her services under article 311, according to IPS Dr Sukhchain Singh Gill, IGP Headquarters. The step has been taken due to her involvement in the latest drug case.
While sharing the details related to the latest action, IPS Dr Gill mentioned that Bathinda Police has been investigating the matter strictly and will take strict action against the culprits. He further announced that SSP Bathinda has been asked to monitor the case diligently and investigate all the possible links.
Besides this, he outlined that all properties, linked to Amandeep Kaur, will be surveyed and if any illegal property will be found then strict action will be taken. IPS Dr Gill also highlighted the tireless and dedicated efforts of the AAP government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to eradicate drugs from the state.
