According to the reports by the Indian Meteorological Department, IMD, the temperature across various regions of the state has been going above 40°C, as Samrala’s temperature went up to 40.6°C on May 27.

However, it has been predicted that Jalandhar City will witness the same weather in the upcoming three days, including May 28, Wednesday; May 30, Friday; and May 31, Saturday.

Punjab heatwave intensifies: Orange alert issued; rain & storms expected SOON

At around 5:30 pm, the regions of Punjab went dark and following this heavy rain started to fall, along with heavy storms.
